Spiritual Living
Chapter 11
About God
Hey so, who is God? What do we know about God?
Imagine a picture that shows God. Imagine we were out tracking around the other day and we- and God let us take this picture.
We could back up far enough to get Him in the picture, so all you can see is his foot, next to the Planet Earth.
So God must be- it is like a really big man or maybe it is a Lady. I am not sure but you know what, that is not who God is.
God is not really large, man or woman, with all the traits. God has a different nervous system or if it is a very large man or woman it is infinitely large, half in the absolute and half in the unified field from which it draws its power to create creation and the half governing all of creation.
It is a magnificent being but it has many qualities.
God/Mother as grandmother/aunt/sister/cousin She/He loves you all
And, consider how fighting and killing each other simply because you don’t like the name some other uses
how do you think that makes grandma feel?
Babies born with disease-- my mother used that as an argument that there is no god, but... introduce the concepts of karma and rebirth--in most world traditions... even in Christianity, except taken out by those with political agendas-- and suddenly, it all makes sense. Instead of babies born with diseases as proof there is no god, to me it was proof of reincarnation.
When my son was born, all his past lives came with him. Huge being, more than filled the house with his presence. 3 days. After that, all those memories/impulses had no structure to support them--he was a very tiny baby-- and they faded away.
Now this idea of God being someone who is half in the absolute and half manifest, is only from our perspectives because we see ourselves as something separate from the unified field but from the side of the unified field or from the side of someone who is realized, that is living in the state of totality, living the state of wholeness that we are calling spirituality.
From their side everything is actually an expression, a direct experience as an expression of infinity, moving within itself.
This is certainly the case for the Divine. That the Divine does not see you as separate from, He or She, however you do but the Divine is with you all the time and in fact has no way to not be, just because you are in creation and the Creator created you.
What does all this mean?...
