Spiritual Living

Chapter 2

More good stuff for you

What’s that got to do With Anything?

Now, why would we want to go through that whole story of the Ramayana? Many people consider it ancient mythology (but some consider it actual history).

Why would that have anything to do with Spiritual OR Living OR a Crazy, Screwy, Nutzo World?

Keep reading; that’s what the whole book is about!

It may interest you to know that I believe this story to be historically ac- curate. But it may not.

More importantly it’s a description —well, not a description, actually, but is how certain laws of nature interact with each other: the positive and the negative, the ying and the yang, the up and the down, the coexistence of opposites and how they work in together even through it can appear as chaos. And at the end, somehow, sometimes suddenly, there is a very fulfilling and satisfying end to the story.

Remember that: this is your story; it may appear as chaos but there is/will be a very fulfilling and satisfying ending.

This is what is best for you to remember, as the book progresses. Because as we discuss stuff, some of it you’re going to see as cool, very good news. At first, some of what we cover may shock and dismay you, but wait: it all comes out great in the end. Promise.

Some of the GOOD NEWS is that we are going to give you is very very empowering and will help you realize that YOU ALONE are responsible for YOU in more ways than you can imagine!

And at the same time, you have more power than you have ever thought you had —as far as what you can do with your life.

Plus you’ll find out about your cosmic and true purpose; what it is: which is basically to have fun and be happy.

Now, some things we are going to tell you may be depressing and demoralizing — such as:

Everything you have now you will not have someday.

But that doesn’t mean you have to be depressed because

Everything you want but don’t have You will get Someday. Maybe not all at once, but you will get them.

Caveat: (Means: exceptions) If you change your mind about what you want, you may or may not get what you 1st wanted (depending).

This is very empowering because if you know you’re going to get what you want, you don’t strain to get it.

What do we mean by Spiritual?

Angels?; they are talking about something spiritual. If they are talking about Lord Christ, they are talking about something spiritual and they are. If they are talking about demons, if they are talking about auras or chakras or if they are talking about psychic mediums or if they are praying or if they are involved in some church activity or some ritual like a bar mitzvah, they feel that what they are doing is spiritual.

And to some greater or lesser degree they might be dabbling in the arena of spiritual but what we want to do is really empower the word spiritual to mean simply Wholeness.

As in “Holy-ness”

What in heaven is “Wholeness” ?

Wholeness means experience of Oneness inside and out! It’s the continual connectivity of the source of creation, the Will of God fully awake within you at all times; God’s Unmanifest Grace running through you at all times and all places. Not a momentary glimpse but rather a status of life. Living in grace, like the saints of old.

Let us use an example. Life is flow. The way a river flows to the sea. And the river flows over hills, over dells it takes the path of least action— of least resistance— because it goes where the ground is softest to make the riverbed.

Now it may go in a straight line but it may not. The shortest distance may be a straight line, but for the water, the easiest distance is the one it takes. After all, the river is not in a hurry, but it does follow the law of least action that all Nature follows.

That means, it takes the easiest, not the quickest, way.

Now life is flow. It is the flow of blood through our veins, it is the flow of our thoughts that move us in a particular direction. For example, you have the thought to go to work. So you get up, get ready, drive, take the bus, subway, train, whatever. Then you arrive at work. It’s a flow: from idea into action into achievement—getting there—to fulfillment: the fulfillment of the thought “I’ll go to work” is arriving at work.

Like that, all life is flow. It is the flow of being awake, then sleeping, then dreaming, then waking again. But it’s never the same: you wake up just a little different than you were when you went to sleep.

For one thing, it’s morning of a different day.

Life is a flow of intelligence as we grow and move in the world, it’s a flow of love, and goodness, and food and seasons and it flows on and on. Life is also a flow of consciousness/awareness from deep within through our ego, intellect, mind, senses, out into the world.

Life is a flow of infinity, of unboundedness. In terms of modern physics, it’s a flow of the unified field of all the laws of nature.

Warning: Abstract Ideas Ahead:

Life is the flow from a non-expressed state into manifest creation into the World that we see around us, through this World, through our experiences, through our perception, and then it continues beyond the edge of creation, beyond the edge of the Universe and again we find this unmanifest state existing beyond that.

What That Means:

Life flows from somewhere --don’t know where-- deep inside us, through us--our thinking/feeling/actions--into the world/universe, and, if we go beyond the end of the universe, we find the same thing that started deep within us.

So it is a flow from inward through us into the World around us beyond the World around us and back to itself, a very very nourishing flow.

Just the same way as we have blood flowing through the body, and leaves the heart, picks up oxygen at the lungs and picks up nutrients from the digestive system, goes through the different extremes of appendages and returns back to the lungs and the heart and then continues on again.

It is just this cycle, this very nourishing flow.

Now what happens if there is a break in the flow, let’s say in the thigh. Now suddenly the foot does not get the nourishment from food, it does not get the oxygen. Without those it cannot live, and disease or discomfort grows in the foot.

By the way, the same kind of flow can happen in the sap, in the flower, for instance, the sap goes up the stem, through the leaves and the petals and the stamen and nourishes the flower. Then if there is some break in the flow, say the plant is not watered. then the sap dries out. Then the plant dies.

So when flow stops, disease/ problems/ stress/ tension arise. But if we are saying that spirituality is Wholeness, is a flow of infinity through our lives out into the world, out beyond the edge of the universe, back to its own infinity at the edge of creation, then how can it be that we suffer?

Because this is a flow! How can a fish in water be thirsty? He is surround- ed by water. How can we, if we are in this sea of Wholeness, this flow of Wholeness, how can we have any problems?

Because there is a break in the flow.

Somewhere along the way we have tricked ourselves to believe that we are out of that flow. We’ve pinched ourselves off like a leaf pinching itself off from the rest of the flower and withdrawing, cutting ourselves off from the flow, pretending we can survive without the sap.

It’s a lot like shooting ourselves in the foot! Then what happens? We suffer.

The saps there, it’s available to us—the water is available to the fish--he just has to open his mouth and accept.

We just need to open to the flow, to wholeness. But we are not opening, we haven’t been taught how to do it, we don’t know the techniques, the procedures.

The fish doesn’t “see” the water in the same way we don’t see air! We look through it, not at it.

So the fish, not seeing the water, “tricks” itself into believing it is thirsty.

Not seeing wholeness, we believe it’s not there. We begin to believe we are separate from the flow of sap into our leaf, [our life]. The Wholeness is not obvious.

So we don’t connect to it— just like a leaf not connecting to the sap, like the fish who doesn’t see the water.

So what we find is that all of the problems that we have in life, the pain, all of the discomfort that we have is due to the break in this flow of spiritu- ality, this flow of wholeness, this flow of infinity from within us, through us, to itself at the edge of the universe.

Here is the cool part:

If we fix the flow, the connection, then ALL the problems disappear. Just like the leaf when the flow of sap is restored.

So all the problems that make this a crazy, screwy, nutso, world would vanish if we just connect to the flow of Wholeness That Is There Anyway.

How to connect to flow?

Meditation is best for general connection. But there are also ways to connect to specific areas of flow, such as money, health, romance, etc. We look for offer a number of products and programs at Higher Vibration .Living website to help restore this flow, so be sure to check out our website at HigherVibration.Living to find something to help whatever area of life want to fix the most.

We just said that there is this flow of wholeness, this spiritual flow, this flow of infinity. We said that you’re in it, but you can’t see it. Since you can’t see it, some people will argue about it, if it’s there at all.

We want you to understand all this, so.... Go to Spiritual Living Chapter 3
